Tributes have been pouring in for Willie Garson, who sadly passed away on 20th September and Friends fans think they might have seen him make a cameo appearance in the sitcom. They would, of course, be right.
Willie Garson was best known for his role as Carrie Bradshaw's gay best friend, Stanford Blatch, in Sex and the City. In fact, Garson had reprised his role in the rebooted series And Just Like That before his death. We're not sure how the producers of the show will handle his passing on-screen and his co-stars have expressed how much he'll be missed.
Despite playing a gay character on SATC, the Garson was heterosexual in real life. He leaves behind one son, but nobody's sure if he had a wife at the time of his passing.
He was indeed. Willie Garson made a cameo appearance in season five, episode 16 of Friends, 'The One With The Girl Who Hits Joey.'
Garson played Ross's new neighbour, Steve Cera, who was organising a collection for the retiring caretaker in the building. Ross, having just moved into the building, didn't agree to donating to a man he didn't know and Garson's character took the umph, throwing a party for the caretaker without inviting Ross.
Just to make things more awkward for Ross, Phoebe paid a visit to his new apartment and, despite not being a resident of the building, donated to the collection. This didn't help the tension with Ross's new neighbours who subsequently said they preferred Phoebe to him.

It's estimated that Willie Garson's net worth was around $10 million (£7.3 million) when he died.
