People have been left shocked and disgusted by an 'Amy Winehouse cake' from a party Neil Patrick Harris held more than 10 years ago.
Throughout the course of history, there is not a person among us who has not made a mistake. But while in centuries past misjudgements and embarrassments could be left in the past, in the age of the internet, these cock-ups can come back to haunt us time and time again... Which brings us on to the offending cake.
Way back in 2011, How I Met Your Mother actor Harris held a Halloween party, and Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson was in attendance with his husband, Justin Mikita.

Now, we've all made jokes in bad taste at parties which we wouldn't like to be taken out of context and shared across the world - but unfortunately for Harris, Mikita didn't think that far ahead.
In a subsequently deleted tweet, he shared a photo of what appeared to be a gory cake depicting a rotting corpse.
In case there was any doubt about what it was supposed to be, a label read: "The Corpse of Amy Winehouse."
Captioning the photo, Mikita said: "Look who showed up @ActuallyNPH & @GourmetMD's Halloween party last night. Looking good."
It's hard to imagine what kind of response he was hoping to get from the tweet, but suffice to say, it was not positive.
Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning aged 27 just months before the party, having suffered with drink and drug addictions for many years.
Harris never publicly commented on the cake, but people have been appalled by it all over again after writer Ashley Reed tweeted earlier this week: "I cannot believe how many very online people over the age of 25 are just now finding out about Neil Patrick Harris' disgusting Amy Winehouse cake."
It seems the 'cake' was in fact a meat platter, as the attached label read: "Beef ribs, pulled pork, chicken sausage in a spicy BBQ sauce."
But regardless of what it was made of, people are in no doubt about the fact it was disgusting.
One person tweeted: "Yeah I had no idea he did this grotesque thing till the other day and I just have no f***ing respect for that person anymore."
Another said: "What is wrong with Neil Patrick Harris? That's so disturbing."
While on Reddit, another wrote: "I'm literally nauseous right now after viewing that. So wrong and in poor taste."
