Ashton Kutcher responds after Mila Kunis called out his 'awkward' photo with Reese Witherspoon

Ashton Kutcher responds after Mila Kunis called out his 'awkward' photo with Reese Witherspoon

The actor says it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Ashton Kutcher has opened up about the images that copped a fiery message from his wife, Mila Kunis.

The Hollywood star was pictured standing next to Reese Witherspoon on the red carpet.

Nothing salacious of the sort happened, it was actually the opposite.

The two are starring in a new Netflix film together called Your Place or Mine, and things get pretty heavy between the two on-screen.

Relax, mate.

However, Kunis was not one bit impressed with how the pair acted on the red carpet and told them off in a group message.

In an interview with Today, Witherspoon revealed the email said: "You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together."

Reese added: "It's just fun 'cause when you know a girlfriend so much, it was just fun to get to know her significant other 'cause I've loved her for so long.

"He's so professional. He's the funniest guy. I mean, such a goofball. We had so much fun."

A pity that didn't come across in the snaps for the new movie, eh?

But Kutcher has now spoken out about the incident and says it's a tricky situation when it comes to working with someone on a movie.

During an interview with the Chicks in the Office podcast, the actor said: "Here’s the thing: if I put my arm around her, and was like all friendly with her, I’d be having an affair with her.

"Like, the rumour would be that I’m having an affair with her.

"If I stand next to her and put my hands in my pockets so there’s no chance that that could be the rumour, then the rumour is we don’t like each other.”

To be fair, there have been many actors who took their on-screen chemistry off-screen once the cameras stopped filming.

And many in Hollywood have been accused of something going on when it was nothing but good ole fashion friendship.

But the good thing is that Ashton, Reese and Mila are all good.

Kutcher also claimed there was another reason behind him looking so awkward while on the red carpet for Your Place or Mine.

He said on the podcast: “I don’t know who’s calling my name, but I know there’s a lot of people yelling, ‘Reese! Ashton! Over here!’

“If you’re gonna tell me, in that entire 20-minute period, at one point you’re not gonna have an awkward face on, then you’re better than I am and I’m cool with that.”
