As Victorians celebrate the end of the state's hardcore lockdown restrictions after 112 days, someone has used the opportunity to turn Dan Andrews saying he would be drinking something from the 'higher shelf' into a remix.

Mashd N Kutcher, the very same Aussie DJ duo that brought us the Dan Andrews remix 'Get On The Beers' earlier this year, have now blessed us with a brand new track featuring the Victorian premier, using his response a question of whether he'll 'be getting on the beers' to celebrate the easing of restrictions as of 11:59pm Tuesday night.

Andrews responded: "I don't know that I'll be drinking a beer tonight. I might go a little higher up the shelf."

And thus, another remix was born.

Andrews later toasted to the easing of restrictions, taking to Twitter later in the afternoon to show that he had celebrated the long-awaited occasion by cracking open a bottle of Starward whisky.

"Said I'd go a little higher up the shelf. Here's to you, Victoria," he said.

The new banger comes following Mashd N Kutcher's first Dan Andrews remix debuting at the Perth Music Festival Wine Machine a few weeks back.

In case you haven't heard it, the tune featured a mashup of a COVID-related press conferences held by Andrews around Easter time, with the Premier's original comments being spliced into him encouraging listeners to 'get on the beers'.

"That's what's most important - the beers," Andrews is heard saying over a dance track.

"As best we can tell, the dinner party started with one case of beers...as far as we can tell, everyone at the dinner party had a case of the beers.

"Get on the beers... that's your civic duty... that's what's most important and that's what must be done," the track continues, until the beat drops with one final: "Beers."
