Film parodies are an endless pit of entertainment. The only thing better is porn parodies, which never get the recognition they deserve.
Since it's 13 years since Quentin Tarantino blessed us with Kill Bill: Vol. 1, though, it's best we chat about the Norwegian parody of the film.
Kill Buljo was released in 2007, and mixed in with 80s shell suits, poor hat choices and offensive moustaches, is genius. The film was directed by Tommy Wirkola, who also co-wrote it, and satirises stereotypes about Norway's Sami (Finno-Urgic indigenous) population. Just one look at the trailer makes you want to go and witness these real life stereotypes - it's like a poor man's Village People reeking havoc with toy guns.

The film was that good, in fact, that Tarantino, who created the original cult classic, liked it. According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, he was happy with the trailer and looked forward to watching it.

The film follows a chap called Jompa Torman, who can't be arsed with signing his life away to a wife, but is doing so anyway. At an 'engagement coffee', a Norwegian Assassination Squad called The Deadly Sapmi, led by Tampa Buljo, crash the party and shoot everyone in their way.

Somehow, Torman escapes and wakes up from a coma, while everyone else is left brown bread. While in his deep coma, the innocent man is suspected to have orchestrated the mass murder, despite being shot in his own head four times.
Eventually, when he awakens, he seeks revenge on the The Deadly Sapmi.

He goes about tracking down each member of the squad and kills them one by one. prioritising them by how bad their clothes are and how much of a paedophile their facial hair makes them look. However, following his every move is the Norwegian dibble, who still think he killed a load of people before his coma.
Intrigued? I'd be worried if you weren't. Go and watch it.
