Billie Eilish is an American singer-songwriter. At just 20 years old she is already one of the music industry’s biggest names, and has secured herself a spot as one of Glastonbury’s headliners this year.

Born in Los Angeles, the singer was homeschooled by her parents Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell along with her brother Finneas.

She largely credits her family for her musical success, as she was allowed to explore her passions and encouraged to write and perform music.

By the age of just 13, Eilish and her brother began working in earnest on songs which they would then release on Soundcloud.

It was through this that Eilish’s talent was first picked up by producers. Soon her career snowballed. She continuously garnered fans and embarked on her first headline tour for her EP, Don’t Smile at Me.

Since this debut tour, Eilish has gone from strength to strength, releasing multiple albums to critical acclaim and collecting accolades around every corner. She even wrote ‘No Time To Die’ for the 2021 Bond film of the same name.

Eilish has received seven Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three Brit Awards as well as a Golden Globe and an Academy Award alongside numerous other accolades.

She currently has over 47 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone and her song ‘Bad Guy’ has over 2 billion streams on the platform.

With such mass success in a short space of time, fans are wondering how much Eilish earns in the space of a year.

How Much Does Billie Eilish Earn?

Eilish’s earnings fluctuate massively depending on album releases and tours. Just as with all artists during the COVID pandemic, Eilish’s income was impacted severely as it became incredibly difficult to put out more music and impossible to perform live.

Regardless, Eilish has earned enormous sums over the course of the past five years to bring her total net worth to $30 million (£24.5 million).

For someone who is just 20 years of age, this enormous sum is incredibly impressive and has been generated through a number of channels.

Primarily through digital sales which have earned Eilish a whopping $41.5 million (£33.9 million), as reported by Cosmopolitan.

Her revenues from digital sales and royalties have been significantly bolstered by a $25 million deal with Apple, negotiated for a documentary about her life, according to Cosmopolitan.

This massive deal contributed to Eilish earning over $50 million (£40.9 million) between 2019 and 2020, according to Forbes!
