Man shares incredible story about Brendan Fraser that 'no one's ever heard'

A man claims his mate had a hilarious Brendan Fraser experience from working with the star back in the 90s.

In response to a video asking for people's positive celebrity encounters, YouTuber The Speech Prof revealed that his pal worked on the set of the 1995 movie Glory Daze, which starred Ben Affleck as the lead and Fraser in a supporting role.

According to the YouTuber's mate, Fraser, who recently received rave reviews for his appearance in The Whale, was due to film a fight scene with Affleck for the comedy flick.

However, just before the cameras were set to roll, the Mummy star was nowhere to be seen, sending the crew into a panic as everybody dispersed to track him down.

The Speech Prof shared a story from his mate about a time Brendan Fraser disappeared from set.

At some point in the hunt, Fraser returned to set, blissfully unaware that he'd sent everybody into a frenzy.

As the search party he encountered didn't recognise the then-relatively unknown actor, they invited him to join the hunt for the missing cast member.

Eventually, it came to light that the absentee actor was indeed back on the set - and he had a hilarious yet heartwarming reason for his disappearance.

Fraser was on his lunch break when he noticed a lack of orange juice at the crafts table.

Instead of sending a member of the crew out to buy some, the beloved star headed down the block to pick up 'several gallons' of the beverage from a nearby convenience store, paying for it out of his own pocket.

This humorous anecdote has no doubt bolstered Fraser's nice-guy image even more, as the actor has developed something of a devoted fan base in recent years.

Fraser's recent outing in The Whale, which sees him play a severely obese man trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter, has been pinned as sealing his comeback.

Commenters responding to The Speech Prof's video applauded Fraser for taking the initiative to replenish the crafts table.

One wrote: "Brendan Fraser is an absolute sweetheart, he deserved so much better."

Another fan said: "I used to have a huge crush on Brendan Fraser and I'm relieved to hear my crush was warranted," whilst a fellow admirer commented: "Brendan Fraser is a legend. He should be Prime Minister."
