Bruce Willis Classic Has Been Ranked As 'The Most Underrated Movie Of All Time'

The actor has a credits spanning back to the early 1980s

A classic Bruce Willis film has been ranked by members of the public as the most underrated film of all time.

Willis recently announced his retirement from acting as a result of his aphasia diagnosis, but his incredible performance skills will live on through the many roles has taken on over the years.

The actor, who is now 67 years old, has acting credits dating back to the early 1980s and over his lengthy career has appeared in hit films such as Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense and, of course, the Die Hard franchise.

In 2000, Willis took on the role of David Dunn in M. Night Shyamalan's thriller Unbreakable. The film has a relatively average score of 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer and a similar IMDb rating of 7.3 out of 10, but when given the chance to vote on some of the most underrated films of all time, Unbreakable made it all the way to the top spot.

The result comes courtesy of the website Ranker, which allows users to share their opinions by voting items up or down. The website explains: "The more up-votes and a higher ratio of up-votes to down-votes, the higher something will rank, depending on how often and where it is ranked."

Through this voting process, the website has presented the 'Ten Most Underrated Movies of All-Time'.

In reverse order, we have Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within; The Killing; The Cincinnati Kid; 21 Grams and The 39 Steps in positions 10 to 6, respectively.

Edging their way into the top five are Dark City in fifth place; Lolita in fourth; Blade Runner in third and The Night of The Hunter just missing out on the top spot, falling in second place.

That leaves Unbreakable as the official choice for the most underrated movie of all time, with Ranker describing the list as 'movies that never hit it big at the box office, failed to receive critical praise, or were before their time'.

Unbreakable sees security guard David end up as the sole survivor of a train crash, after which he is tracked down by a man whose body is particularly weak in a bid to explain his 'unbreakable' nature.

The film sparked two sequels, Split and Glass, though there was a lengthy break in the aftermath of Unbreakable, with the first sequel not arriving until 2016.

Though Unbreakable might not have received the praise many deemed it deserves, at least it's now had some recognition!
