Ryan Reynolds has shared a series of photographs wife Blake Lively took of him while he was tested for coronavirus, joking that the swab was 'quick and easy' but also 'just deep enough to tickle your childhood memories'.
Reynolds posted the three snaps on Instagram, crediting Lively for the photography and explaining that he was being test on the set of forthcoming action flick Red Notice, which he will star in alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Gal Gadot.
Of course, being the man he is, he couldn't resist slipping an amusing quip into the caption after he told fans how painless the whole thing was, writing: "Back to work on #RedNotice. The Covid Test is quick and easy.
"The doctor places the swab up your nose, just deep enough to tickle your childhood memories and then it's over. No matter what you say to him, he won't buy you dinner first."

Many people commented on the post to share their own experiences with coronavirus testing, with some saying Reynolds' description was hilariously accurate.
"The most apt description of the Covid test so far," one Instagrammer said.

Someone else wrote: "Perfect description of the test! #RedNotice sounds great!"
A third added: "Yeah - I had that done too. I really enjoyed the depth with which it goes to find the brain stem. It takes swabbing to an all new level."
Thankfully, it's not all been work and coronavirus tests for Reynolds, who's been able to find the time to celebrate a special birthday... His dog's.
The actor recently posted a couple of photos of him and his dog, Baxter, lounging around on the floor.
"Happy Birthday, Bax," Reynolds wrote.

"I'd bake you a cake, but it would kill you. Not because you're a dog. Everything I bake is poison. If I had to go to war, I'd just bring a toaster oven."
Lively then commented underneath the adorable post, saying: "This is almost as sweet as the birthday post you did for me this year."
The joke here is that her husband didn't actually post anything to mark her birthday on 25 August, which is slightly awks.

However, it looks like Reynolds - a self-confessed terrible baker - did go to the effort of making her a cake, with Lively sharing an Instagram Story photo on the day of him proudly holding the creation.
