Britney Spears has shocked her fans by posting a series of pictures of herself in her Halloween costume.
It looks as though the 39-year-old singer had staged a murder mystery-esque scene as she posed 'dead' on the floor.
She was wearing a red slip dress with black heels and had blood all over her hands and face. As well as this, her hands were cuffed together with a pair of leopard print handcuffs.
Commenting on the post, one person wrote: "Fr [for real] like is she ok?" While another added: "Britney wth [what the hell] is this?"

A third commented: "Okay is anyone else concerned?"
Someone else said: "I was trying to put my finger on the feeling. Because I'm like hey it's Halloween! But then something is still incorrect."
"Something about this is so off," another wrote.
Others expressed their interpretation of it, saying: "She's literally telling her story with images, fascinating one that is."

Alongside the series of snaps, Britney wrote: "5:45 ... she arrived ... the doorman said she came home alone !!! She went to dinner with two girlfriends and had 1 drink ... took a cab home but was found on the floor by her neighbor.
"It remains a mystery... who would do such a thing??? She had a wonderful family and of course they were nowhere nearby!!!!

In parts of her caption, it seems Britney is referring to the conservatorship which was recently suspended.
Her dad, Jamie Spears, was head of the legal guardianship that has controlled her life for 13 years.
Following the recent court ruling, Jamie will no longer have control over his daughter's estate.
