Remember Nadia from American Pie? The foreign exchange student that Jim's (creepy) mates watch undress on a webcam?

The film launched the careers of a number of stars, including Jim, played by Jason Biggs; Stifler played by Seann William Scott and Nadia - Shannon Elizabeth.

Following the success of the film franchise, Shannon stared in Love Actually, Scary Movie and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. She also appeared on the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars, which is like an American Strictly Come Dancing.

However, the way the actress lives now is a far cry from her Hollywood lifestyle, because Shannon now proudly runs an animal charity called Animal Avengers and lives in South Africa.

On her Twitter profile, Shannon calls herself an 'actress, activist and vegan' who wants to 'make the world a better place' by giving her 'voice to those who have none'. Impressive.

Her social media accounts proudly share her achievements as well as petitions and news articles related to the causes she believes in.

One of the things she feels particularly strongly about is hunting - in one post she calls those who enjoy hunting 'sick'.

She's also gone in on President Donald Trump for his stance on hunting:

I'm going to be honest, this is not what I thought 'Nadia' would be up to now, but fair play to her for following her heart.
