Ryan Reynolds is good at Twitter. In fact, Ryan Reynolds is so good at Twitter, that even if he wasn't a beloved Hollywood actor, he'd probably still be famous purely for being good at Twitter.

The Deadpool star comes out with some of the funniest lines on the social media platform and he's very consistent with it too. I mean, the guy doesn't even take a day off on his birthday.

Reynolds, who turned 41 years old today, posted to his Twitter account this morning, saying: "My kids tried to surprise me for my birthday this morning. I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else."

Classic Reynolds.

This is far from the first time the star has joked about his kids on Twitter. In fact, Tweets about his kids pretty much form the backbone of his account.

But despite all the jokes, Reynolds loves his kids dearly. In an interview with David Letterman in 2015, he said:

"I used to say to [Blake], 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' I would say that to my wife.

"And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."

Ryan's wife Blake Lively is another celeb well-known for her social media shenanigans, but in an interview with Elle, she said that the couple are actually both pretty shy in real life.

"My husband and I are really shy people who express ourselves best when we're acting, when we're hiding as someone else," she said.

"So the fact that very shy people have to share that shy person with the world - and are sometimes hurt by it - it's very weird emotionally. Anyway, champagne problems."
