Someone Has Found The 'I'm A Celebrity...' Jungle On Google Maps

Technology is a marvellous thing, especially when you consider the invention of Google Maps, which literally lets you look at anywhere in the world, often from the viewpoint of actually standing there, from the comfort of your own home. You can be in bed, but also at the Great Pyramids in Egypt, which is pretty cool.

Now, though, it's possible to solve one of the biggest mysteries of all - where the hell is the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle located? We know it's in Australia, but where? And is it actually, really a proper jungle?

Thanks to Google Earth, we now know that the location for the TV programme's camp is at the very south of Springbok National Park and New South Wales.

To put that into perspective, the nearest large settlement is a town called Murwillumbah in north-eastern New South Wales, around 45km south-west of the Gols Coast.

And if you actually search for the camp on Google Maps you'll see that, yes, it really is pretty remote and jungly.

To do so, type the following co-ordinates into Google Maps: 28 15 42.75 S 153 21 01.79 E or search for 362 Dungay Creek Road.

The open area that you see there is called Dungay and that's where you'll find onsite medical facilities, prop storage, broadcast equipment and other backstage facilities - including, presumably, toilets for Ant and Dec to use.

The actual campsite is located - allegedly - about 300 metres north-east of Dungay, but most of it is obscured by foliage. Just as well they have cameras in there, isn't it?

This year, the celebrities who opted into this cruel and unusual form of public humiliation include boxer Amir Khan, Coronation Street's Jennie McAlpine, vlogger Jack Maynard and Rebekah Vardy, whose husband is footballer Jamie Vardy.

The new season was hosted by Ant and Dec and marked the former's return to the screen after a stint in rehab.
