Just when you thought perfect Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet's life couldn't get anymore perfect, the guy just went and surprised his wife for her birthday by restoring her first love: a 1964 Mustang.

In a YouTube video uploaded to his account, the Aquaman star takes the classic motor to be pimped out at Divine 1 Customs in Las Vegas.

Although the car is busted, the craftsmen reveal it is one of just three ever created, with a lot of custom made parts to it. Pretty incredible considering it's the first ride ever bought by the High Fidelity actress.

Narrating the video's intro, Momoa says: "It's the first car, bought with love and a smile; the car that gave you a life of incredible destinations, where boundaries and limitations fade in the rear view."

He goes on to say: "I know we can't relive a memory, but maybe we can rebuild one."

Cheesy? Yes. But hey, it's Jason Momoa.

After sharing the tidbit, the video cuts to clips of the Ford Mustang being restored to its former glory, with a complete rebuild and sleek black paint job to finish. The star is overjoyed when he sees the finished result.

"I never thought it would look like this," Momoa comments with a big smile on his face, adding: "To be in this passenger seat with my wife here and surprise her, and our babies in the back, riding in her first car when she was 17 - I'm excited to see her face."

Not as excited as Bonet when she's surprised with the gift by Momoa and their two kids Nakoa-Wolf, 11, and Lola, 13.

Commenting on the incredible gesture, Lisa says: "It's beautiful. Holy cow. That is gorgeous. Oh my gosh."

As they open the bonnet to reveal a completely fresh engine, she adds: "It's pristine, not too flashy but just enough - it's so beautiful."

Since being uploaded yesterday (4 August), the video has received plenty of comments from people gushing over their perfect family.

"I have never ever seen a man so in love with his wife or love his family so much. It's not for show, it's real," wrote one commenter, adding: "Their children are beautiful. And this Mustang is a piece of art!"

Another wrote: "This is the best seven minute love story that I've ever seen. My favourite Hollywood couple. I hope they never break up. Their children are so beautiful too."

A third added: "That level of car expertise those guys have is almost as impressive as the love he has for his wife."
