Joe Exotic's biggest dream was to become famous. Thanks to Netflix's Tiger King documentary series, he's finally achieved that goal.

However, it's tough for him to bathe in the infamy while he's serving 22 years in prison for animal abuse charges and trying to hire someone to kill his arch rival Carole Baskin.

But not all is lost.

Exotic's husband, Dillon Passage, has revealed that there has been talks about Joe getting his own radio show from behind bars.

Speaking to Metro, Dillon said: "This radio station here in the US wants him to have his own radio show from inside the prison. So we'll see what happens with that. It's kind of mind-blowing."

Dillon also revealed that Exotic has since been moved to a prison in Texas and they aren't able to speak as often as they would like to.

While Tiger King didn't exactly paint Joe in the best light, he's said to be thrilled about the series in general.

Co-director Eric Goode has revealed the project had much more humble beginnings, having originally set out to make a film about the illegal reptile trade when he 'stumbled' on the story of Joe Exotic.

Since it's aired, millions of people around the world have tuned in to find out what happens to everyone attached to the G.W. Zoo.

Goode told LADbible: "Joe has called up Rebecca and I from jail since the airing of the documentary.

"You know, he has lived his entire life just to be famous, and so to finally realise this fame is just... He's tickled pink.

"Even though he's behind bars it's really interesting to see Joe's response - it's incredible, and very surprising. Yes, he's absolutely thrilled."

No doubt he will try to ride this wave for a long as possible and that radio show could help with that.
