Mia Khalifa has donated a whopping $160,000 (£117,000) to charity from her OnlyFans earnings.

The former porn star signed up to OnlyFans in September last year, charging her fans $11.99 (£8.85) a month to enjoy her exclusive content.

And it seems she's put the money to good use, generously donating thousands of dollars to charities and organisations close to her heart.

Posting on Instagram, Mia wrote: "I just want to thank everyone who has supported me on OnlyFans since September.

"You guys have helped me donate over $160k to charities and organizations that mean the most to me, I'm so grateful for the platform and all the incredible, strong, determined women I've met through the internet because of it.

"You guys have taught me so much and helped me grow as a person in more ways than I can ever thank you for."

Announcing her decision to join OnlyFans last year, Mia wrote: "THANK YOU SO F***ING MUCH for supporting me on this new and exciting platform.

"I am finally growing into my self-confidence in who I am and the decisions I make for me, and this is my way of being myself outside the perimeters of conventional social media.

"Even though I will not be creating nude content, I am going to be treating this page like my Instagram without terms of service lol.

"I want to take my power back and just post what I want and what makes me feel good, and I'm just so thankful that y'all are along for this wild ride.

"This is all very new to me, I've never been on a platform as fan-facing, so any suggestions for improving my presence here is greatly appreciated! I love you!"

This isn't the first-time Mia has done her bit for charity - last summer she auctioned off her famous glasses to help those who were impacted by the horrific explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.

Mia pulled in $100,000 (£76,000) after flogging her signature specs online.

Posting about the sale online, Mia wrote: "I'm just trying to get creative, there's always more that can be done and this felt like a cheeky way to raise funds and make sure the conversation and attention doesn't diverge from this crisis."
