Orlando Bloom Gets Tattoo Of Son's Name Changed After Spelling Error

The English actor posted the picture of his new inking a week ago but today he's given us an update

Orlando Bloom shared a picture of his new tattoo on Instagram a week ago, displaying his son's name in Morse code... then realised he'd spelled it wrong. So now he's had it updated - phew.

The initial black and white snap that the 43-year-old actor shared with the caption: "New #tattoo can you guess who?" Oh, the irony.

In the comments, the actor went on to confirm what many people had been speculating, saying the lines and dots are indeed Morse code spelling out 'Flynn', the name of his son with ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr.

But that's the thing... they didn't spell 'Flynn'. AWKWARD.

People explained to Bloom that the transcription code wasn't correct, explaining that Morse code for 'R' is dot dash dot, while 'L' is dot dash dot DOT.

With that in mind, it would seem the code used in Bloom's original tat spelled out FRYNN, rather than Flynn.

It's all sorted now though and people are over the moon for him. One joked: "Happens to the best of us!"

The code in Bloom's original tat is:

. . - . . - . - . - - - . - .

The code for 'Flynn' is:

. . - . . - . . - . - - - . - .

Bloom said it's 'MORSE CODE' like, duh.

One positive element we can take from this is what Bloom didn't need to get the numbers above the tat changed - the ones (hopefully) relating to the date and time of Flynn's birth.

He got them right - unlike this dad, whose loving gesture went slightly pear-shaped when he accidentally got the wrong year inked on his arm.

Worse yet, he didn't even realise until he posted it on Facebook.

Gav had made a terrible mistake.

Dad-of-three Gavin Sharples, 34, told LADbible: "When we first booked the appointment I said I would like Archie's (my son) name and date of birth. At first, I got the year wrong and said 2019, but my fiancée corrected me and told them it's actually 2018."

Like one of Bloom's fan's said - it happens to the best of us, don't you worry Gaz.
