Actor Jacob Batalon has shown off a dramatic weight-loss to mark his birthday.

Batalon, who is best known for playing Ned Leeds in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, posted on Instagram wearing a hat an open jacket to reveal his weight loss, he commented: "By the way, while I appreciate the concern, people can stop telling me to lose weight now."

The actor, who just turned 24, was flooded with responses after sharing the post.

One fan wrote: "Dude you're looking AWESOME."

While another added: "Happy birthday my brother! You look damn good G! Keep grinding."

Batalon will be back as Ned in the upcoming Spider-Man 3, and it seems as though he's itching to get back to work.

In a recent interview with comicbook.com, Batalon said: "I feel like, just for myself personally, I feel like I've spent the entire year just like everyone else, not really working, per se. I would love to just work on something in general.

"I miss everyone from our squad. I miss our producers, our director. Obviously, I miss my castmates. I just miss everyone. I really just want to work and be productive and just see my friends again. So, definitely. I'm definitely really anxious to work again."

As well as Batalon, Tom Holland will be back reprising his role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch have also been signed up.

Cumberbatch will be donning his cloak of levitation once again to play Doctor Strange, while Foxx will be back in the MCU as Electro.

Foxx let the cat out of the bag in a, now deleted, post on Instagram.

Batalon revealed that he's absolutely delighted to be working along Foxx, telling comicbook.com: "I'm a huge fan of Jamie Foxx. Literally, I grew up watching his things and so being able to work with all these influential people in these movies has been like a godsend.

"I truly can't believe... it's really because of Spider-Man that I get to meet all my heroes, so just having Jamie Foxx, he's so prolific. He's very diverse and he does do everything and it's so awesome to really just know that he's in our project. That's so awesome."

Spider-Man 3 is currently scheduled to be released on 17 December 2021.
