​Stormzy’s Mum Refuses To Fly Economy Because 'Stormzy Is My Son'

Stormzy began recording mid-way through their conversation, with his mum heard off-camera saying: "No way, I'm not going economy."

As Stormzy laughs, shouting 'Claim it! Amen!' at his mother, she adds: "I said I'm not going economy - Stormzy is my son."

Still chuckling, the 'Sounds of the Skeng' singer replies: "You are the GOAT."

Somewhat unsurprisingly, his mum didn't understand that he referring to her as the Greatest of All Time, and simply said: "I'm not joking."

The Instagram Stories kept on coming, as mama Stormzy wasn't finished.

After insisting that she refused to fly economy class, she also wanted to point out that she's still grounded - despite the fact that many people know who she is.

She admitted: "I am humble, but I do get recognised."

Fans online had nothing but admiration for the energy of Stormzy's mum, who they said was a 'national treasure'.

One person tweeted: "This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. @stormzyyour mum is a don bruv."

Another wrote: "The energy in 'Stormzy is my son'."

Following his set, the grime artist - whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. - tweeted a screenshot of a text from his mum which reads: "Good morning my hero you made me so so proud, you've made me a very proud mum never forget that, the phone calls text messages was so overwhelming, I just want to see you and hug you.

"And also I am going to dance for you at church."
