People Baffled After Victoria Beckham Says Her Favourite Thing To Eat Is Salt On Toast

The singer turned fashion designer admitted that she's a restaurant's 'worst nightmare' due to her love of simple foods, such as a slice of toast with a bit of salt on top - which may be so, but at least it's a cheap night out.

"I like whole grain toast with salt on it. It's that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted and I love salt.

"To most restaurants I'm probably their worst nightmare.

"I love some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself. I like things to be cooked in a very simple way. I don't like oils or butters or sauces."

She said she likes her food to be 'very simple, very clean and incredibly fresh' and has cut out dairy and red meat.

Beckham added: "Even Gordon Ramsay, a very good friend of ours, says he's never seen anybody as disciplined about the way that they eat."

However, she went on to say that despite her unusual dining habits she is a good guest.

"I'm not the most exciting eater but I do like to have a drink with my dinner and I can become a very good dinner guest," she said.

Her unusual favourite meal has baffled social media users who can't quite get their heads around the fact she's happy with some bread and salt.

One person wrote on Twitter: "What?! No it isn't. Stop!"

While another said: "We have a saying here in these parts 'sure that wouldn't fill a hole in a tooth'."

A third person joked: "Victoria Beckham has revealed she is a fussy eater and her favourite meal is toast with... salt.

"Wow how the other half live, I bet dinner time is fun in her house, sort yourself out girl and start living on the edge by eating it with beans."

But not everyone hated the idea, one person said: "I have been advocating salt and pepper on toast for years. Sad people are only just catching on!"
