YouTuber James Charles has come under fire after he shared a 'pregnancy' photoshoot.

The beauty vlogger did the photoshoot - which involved him wearing a prosthetic baby bump - as part of a video where he attempted to live the life of a pregnant person for 24 hours straight to see whether he was 'strong enough'.

It left people puzzled with Logan Paul simply asking: "How[?]" while a few others added: "I'm confused."

Aside from folk being totally baffled, many were offended by the post and reminded Charles that there are many people that struggle to conceive.

One person wrote: "I'm sorry but James Charles and his team really filmed that s***, made those comments and didn't see anything wrong with it? How thirsty for clout can you be?! So gross, disrespectful and insensitive. Also I'm sure he's at an age where he knows that pregnancy jokes aren't ok."

Another added: "To pretend to be pregnant when there is women who cannot."

While a third stuck up for Charles, saying: "He isn't responsible for their problems. He said the video wasn't meant to offend anyone, and there are many other creators who have done some form of a fake pregnancy at some point. Some of you just pick and choose when to hate."

Others pointed out that the YouTube video references Halsey who recently announced that she is expecting her first child, while also looking back on the struggles she's faced with endometriosis.

At one stage in the video, as Charles is on the floor having the photoshoot, someone behind the camera can be heard saying: "Very Halsey".

Someone wrote: "Halsey literally had endometriosis. For him or his team to say 'very Halsey' while he's taking FAKE pregnancy photos is f***ing disgusting and it mocks everything that she's been through."

They went on to add: "A lot of you are missing the point - pregnancy is an incredibly sensitive subject for women and a difficult journey but men are here 'being pregnant for 24 hours', treating it as a trend."

LADbible has contacted Charles' reps for a comment.
