Ariana Grande shares US and UK tour update after 'stepping back' announcement
Following years of 'endless, ongoing public scrutiny', Ariana Grande might have been forgiven for having a more toxic relationship with her fans online.
However, in an emotional post after concluding her US tour, the 33-year-old performer has suggested that she is 'overwhelmed with love'.
Grande shocked fans after one of her reps confirmed that she would be taking a 'step back from visibility' upon the conclusion of her tour, which left some wondering if her upcoming dates in London would still go ahead.
“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” the rep told PEOPLE.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”
Despite the need for a break, the 'thank you, next' singer is still set to perform all 10 of her scheduled shows in London at the O2, something she confirmed in an emotional post on social media earlier today.
On Instagram, she wrote: "I love you … I cannot believe that this concludes the north American leg of the eternal sunshine tour. I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude. thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months … I will cherish every moment of this time with you all and these memories forever. Thank you, Chicago … London, I cannot wait to see you soon. I love you all more than ever."
However, it seems as if she won't appear in her West End debut alongside Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey as planned, and once she has concluding her Eternal Sunshine tour, we may not see her in the public eye for some time.
The announcement came as something of a surprise given that it came just days after she released her new album Petal, something which she suggested was fuelled by the 'unfiltered rage' she has been feeling, particularly after some of the abuse she has faced in relation to her body and her relationships.
She told NME: “I’m equally excited to see how they react to every single song. It pulls from many different parts of myself and yet, at the same time, it is very experimental and different for me.
“I wrote from a place that I don’t usually, which was like an unfiltered rage that I think we all feel sometimes.”
Grande continued: “I usually am too shy to tap into that. This time, I didn’t filter as much as I usually do. I usually do a lot of rewrites and make things a little kinder. This time, I didn’t.”
So, if you are lucky enough to see some of that in action at her London shows, you might want to enjoy it even more in the knowledge that her next tour could be several years away.
