Joe Rogan takes aim at Bill Clinton's claim someone is being 'protected' as Epstein files drop

He couldn't help but laugh when reading through the former president's statement that was shared in wake of the new images being released

Joe Rogan has shared a scathing assessment of the statement that Bill Clinton released after he was pictured in the Epstein files.

In the latest episode of his podcast, the UFC commentator became visibly amused by the remarks made by the former president's spokesperson on his behalf.

Last Friday (19 December), the Department of Justice (DOJ) released hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Numerous new photos of the disgraced financier rubbing shoulders with celebrities, politicians and royals were also published - and Clinton appears in a fair few of them.

Snaps show the 79-year-old arm in arm with Epstein, lounging in a hot tub and swimming in a pool alongside convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.

None of the photographs suggest any wrongdoing and they are all undated, and many people who have been named or pictured have denied having knowledge of Epstein's crimes.

Clinton has vehemently rebuffed claims that he knew what was going on - and in a fiery statement shared last weekend, his spokesperson Angel Ureña suggested he was being made a 'scapegoat'.

The former president's deputy chief of staff still had more to say on the matter on Monday (22 December) too, as he shared another statement in regards to the latest developments.

In it, Ureña claimed that they believe there is something of a cover-up going on.

The statement said: "What the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected.

"We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection.

"Accordingly, we call on President Trump to direct Attorney General Bondi to immediately release any remaining materials referring to, mentioning, or containing a photograph of Bill Clinton.

"This includes, without limitation, any records that may exist and are subject to disclosure under the Act (Public Law 119-38 enacted Nov. 19, 2025), including grand jury transcripts, interview notes, photographs, and findings by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York (as referenced under oath to Congress by President Trump's first-term Attorney General).

"Refusal to do so will confirm the widespread suspicion the Department of Justice's actions to date are not about transparency, but about insinuation - using selective releases to imply wrongdoing about individuals who have already been repeatedly cleared by the very same Department of Justice, over many years, under Presidents and Attorneys General of both parties."

Rogan couldn't help but laugh as he recited the statement during the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, which was released yesterday (23 December).

While chatting to comedian Tom Segura, the podcast host mocked the mention of Clinton needing 'no such protection'.

He joked: "This is like the killer pretending to be the detective. 'We have got to solve this crime, we do not know who'!"

His guest seemed to hold the same opinion, as Segura added: "This is the killer joining the search party."

Rogan, 58, then went on to reference one of the new images of Clinton that was included in the Epstein release last week, as he mockingly said: "We got photos of you in a hot tub, buddy."

He then went on to say that the statement released by Clinton's camp made him suspect that a 'deal was made' between the ex-commander-in-chief and the US government.

"So if you release a press release like that, it means the call went well," Rogan laughed. "You got a deal in. 'Whew, we're good! All we have to do is let him run for a third term.'"

It's important to note that the comments made by Rogan and Segura are all speculative and unsubstantiated, and there is no evidence that Clinton was aware of Epstein's crimes.

President Donald Trump also previously shared his thoughts on Clinton's inclusion in the images, saying he 'hated' seeing him in the snaps.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform have subpoenaed both Clinton and his wife Hillary to give evidence about their relationships with Epstein.

His is set to take place on 13 January, while his spouse of 50 years is scheduled to testify the following day.

LADbible has contacted Bill Clinton's representatives for a comment.
