Brian Austin Green has finally responded to claims he groomed Megan Fox when they first started dating.
These kind of rumours have been attached to the 90210 star for years now, but he’s typically remained tight-lipped on it all.
The actors began seeing each other when Fox was 18 and Green was 30 after they met on the set of TV show Hope & Faith in 2004.
And in the years that followed, it’s pretty fair to describe their relationship as tumultuous. The pair got engaged in 2006, called off the engagement in 2009, got engaged again and married in 2010, announced a separation in 2015, got back together in 2016 and then ultimately filed for divorce a second time in 2020. They share three sons.

But even with their highly-publicised splits, Green hasn’t spoken out much on the negativity against him until this recent chat with his Oldish podcast cohosts.
The 51-year-old hosts the podcast with Randy Spelling and his fiancée Sharna Burgess.
While they discussed his lengthy relationship with the Transformers star, his current partner pointed out that she is still the mum to three of his kids and he wouldn’t want negative stuff out about her as they live ‘forever’ online.
But she did say she was curious as to why Green hadn’t spoken out on particular things over the years, such as the idea he ‘groomed’ Fox when they first started dating.
“I think it comes from my dad,” the actor explained. “He’s very good at cutting emotion out of something and just being logical in his choices.
“I really, logically understood that if I defend myself this one time, it’s never gonna stop. I’m gonna have to defend myself for who knows how long, because people are gonna believe what they wanna believe.
"So, to me, time is the only thing that regulates that.”
Essentially, Green explained he hoped living a life as free from controversy as possible would overwhelm any suspicions from strangers.
“People spend more time seeing me not being that way and then they start questioning it and they start going, you know, ‘We’ve seen him for five years. We’ve never once seen him being controlling or hearing any other story from anyone else about,'” he continued. “It’s the long game of it.”
Also in the podcast, the star admitted that he ‘had absolute moments of jealousy’ when the ‘Machine Gun Kelly stuff and everything was happening’.
Fox and MGK confirmed their relationship in the summer of 2020, with apparent break-ups and reconciliations since. As it stands, the pair are not together but are co-parenting their daughter who was born at the end of March.
