A tweet Zendaya wrote way back in 2017 finally proves that the actor has been infatuated with her beau Tom Holland for some time.
The 26-year-old and Holland, 27, met back in 2016 when they were cast as Peter Parker and MJ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Prior to going public with their romance in 2021, Zendaya and her Brit boyfriend always insisted that their relationship was strictly platonic and that they were just ‘best friends’.
However, a tweet from six years ago has been lifted from the former Disney actor’s Twitter account - and it proves she was pretty obsessed with him all along.

In June 2017, Holland posted a picture of himself posing for paparazzi pictures on the red carpet. In the photo, the actor was wearing a blue blazer while looking off longingly in the distance.
Sharing the snap to Instagram, he wrote in the caption: “Stealing hearts ever since never @zendaya,” to which she replied, “I hate you.”
Zendaya must have found the sentiment extremely funny, as she then followed her three words with a string of laughing and crying emojis.
After reacting via Instagram, the Euphoria star took to Twitter to repost the exchange with her followers.

Tweeting a picture of Holland’s original photograph and her response, she wrote: “I really can’t stand him @TomHolland1996”.
The message resurfaced again recently and has since accumulated almost 5,000 retweets and over 38,000 likes.
Fans of the pair have also been flocking to the comments section to post their hot takes and debate whether Z and T have always been in it for the long run.
One wrote: “Spoiler alert: they were flirting and she is in love with him.”
Another said: “I can’t with her, she been down bad for that man ever since she first laid eyes on him and as soon as he made her laugh she saw him as the funniest man on Earth.”

A third commented: “This is the clearest example I’ve ever seen of the girls who get it get it and the girls who don’t won’t.”
Another Twitter user quoted the original tweet and said: “Liked, commented, and then screenshotted (sic) and posted on twitter? IN TWO MINUTES??? She been in love.”
A second echoed previous statements and said: “She was NOT hiding that she was in love with him (sic) she’s so real.”

Elsewhere, another fan retweeted the photo and jokingly accused the couple of ‘gaslighting’ the TomDaya fandom back in 2017.
They wrote: “Behaving like this and simultaneously gaslighting us is crazy.”
