
Daveigh Chase has passed away at the age of 35.
According to TMZ, the actor's death was confirmed by her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, who said that Chase had died from meningitis and an infection in her blood.
The infection had led to further complications, with The Ring actor subsequently developing sepsis.
Chase began acting in 1998, appearing in an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, with her breakout role later coming in 2001's Donnie Darko.
She is best known for providing the voice of Lilo in the 2002 Disney animation of Lilo & Stitch, as well as subsequent films Stitch! The Movie and Leroy & Stitch as well as TV spin-off Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
She played the role of antagonist Samara Morgan in the 2002 American remake of The Ring, and also had roles in Carolina, Yellow and American Romance, as well as providing the voice of Chihiro in the English dub of Spirited Away.

Chase had taken a step back from the spotlight in more recent years, with her last acting credit being American Romance, with the former actor experienced various legal issues in 2017 and 2018.
It has since been revealed that a GoFundMe was set up by her partner, which he had hoped to raise funds for Chase to experience 'comfort' while she was seriously ill.
'Together, we found moments of happiness and hope'
"Daveigh Chase, my girlfriend, has always been a light in my life," Hernandez began.
"When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope."
Going on to reveal Chase's health issues had been recent, Hernandez continued: "Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left.


'I want to give her that sense of home and peace'
"All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days."
He continued: "I understand we all go through things, but if you can help, I will be really grateful for anything. And if you can only give a prayer, I will take that too.
"Thank you for considering helping us during this difficult time."
