Nikki Glaser’s monologue for this year’s Golden Globes had it all: digs at Joker 2, comments about P-Diddy that sparked controversy, and a raunchy joke about Nicole Kidman’s newest film.

Glaser’s raunchy joke was shockingly X-Rated for a network awards show as she pushed the envelope in her hosting duties.

The comedian came in to present the show this year following the controversy around last year’s host, Jo Koy.

Koy faced boos and groans for his jokes that were labelled by many as ‘sexist’.

This year, however, Glaser was widely praised for her performance as a host, with the only criticism coming at the expense of a joke she made about the P-Diddy situation.

One moment that stood out to viewers though was her joke about Nicole Kidman’s Babygirl.

Glaser said: “Nicole Kidman is here, oh my gosh. Nominated for Babygirl.

“Oh my gosh, I loved that movie. I gave it two fingers up.”

If you don’t know why that is a raunchy joke, I will not be explaining it at this time, but if you use your imagination, you can figure it out.

This was followed up with a joke about Kidman’s partner Keith Urban, with Glaser saying: “Thank you to Keith Urban for playing the guitar so much that she wants to leave and make 18 movies a year. Keep strumming you kooky coola.”

Kidman made headlines after revealing she had to pause filming of Babygirl because she was having to ‘stop’ orgasms.

The film features a particularly sexual topic as it focuses on Nicole Kidman's character, a high-powered CEO who begins a BDSM-heavy affair with her young intern.

Kidman said of filming alongside co-star Harris Dickinson: "There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, 'Don’t touch me'.

"There were times when we were shooting where I was like, 'I don’t want to orgasm any more'."

She said she would feel as if she wanted to say: 'Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it'.

"It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout", she explained.

The film, which comes out in four days in the UK and is already out in America, has received a great deal of praise already.

RogerEbert.com gave the film 3.5/4, saying in their review: "Babygirl is a high-wire act. It's a small miracle the film works as well as it does."
