Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson reportedly banned from her memorial

Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson has allegedly been banned from a memorial honouring the late star.

Hickerson was left off the guest list for Panettiere's celebration of life in Malibu on Saturday (September 19), as was the actress' mother and Hickerson's brother Zach, according to TMZ.

Around 150 guests are understood to have been invited to the event, including Panettiere's father Skip Panettiere and numerous celebrity pals.

Hickerson, 37, who had been in an on-off relationship with Panettiere since 2018, and his brother, 38, were with the Heroes star when she passed away on August 16.

The 36-year-old was found dead in an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, where she and Hickerson had been staying.

First responders found Hickerson and his brother, who was 'very emotional', at the scene, according to a police report obtained by NBC.

Hickerson then became visibly emotional when Panettiere was pronounced dead and later showed police a 'bag of medication' he claimed she'd been taking.

In a statement released via his lawyer Sloan Ellis after his girlfriend's death, Hickerson said he'd be making 'no further comment' on her passing.

“Hayden’s death remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed. As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play.

“Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time," he said.

An investigation into Panettiere's death is ongoing.

It's been claimed that Panettiere's family and friends were cautious about Hickerson being back in her life, after their relationship allegedly ended in 2020 when he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Panettiere, who was mother to daughter Kaya, 11, with ex Wladimir Klitschko, was estranged from her mother Lesley Vogel at the time of her death after the pair had become embroiled in a feud in recent years.

Vogel, who also lost son Jansen in 2023, spoke out following her daughter's death, admitting it had left her feeling 'numb'.

"I was numb. I was just numb. I still am not grasping this is real. It just doesn't, it doesn't feel real," she said in an interview with ABC News.

"My mind tells me it's not at times. You know, it's going to be a process."

Vogel also said: "I want Hayden to be remembered for the talented, you know, beautiful, outgoing, intelligent woman she really was."
