James Buckley may have moved away from acting, but he's not doing too badly off it after admitting to raking in a staggering £10k-a-week from a different venture altogether.
The Inbetweeners star, who looks set to return for a comeback version of the classic comedy series, has stepped away from the world of television since White Gold ended in 2019, but the money is still flowing thanks to a clever career change.
The idea of the man behind Jay Cartwright bringing in so much money per week might have only seemed feasible if he'd truly taken Woking from the Enterprise National League to the Champions League, but the actor has gone down a very different route to earn his fortune.
Buckley, now 38, has managed to make himself a millionaire thanks to the personalised video website Cameo, where he takes requests from fans to send messages, which usually feature all his greatest lines from the Channel 4 comedy.

And he reckons there's one key area he's nailed on the site compared to other celebs.

You can easily picture why a couple of mates in the pub might want to book Buckley for a birthday message, especially after a couple of lagers, just so they can hear him utter the world 'clunge' or call them a bus w****r one last time.
And it really is as simple as that, as while you can find professional footballers, Hollywood celebrities and even Paul Chuckle on the site, few will present their videos with the personality and affordability of Buckley.
He's shed a bit more light on his success while speaking on The Fellas Podcast alongside long-time friend and fellow Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas.

When asked about his Cameo dividends, he said: "It's someone's birthday, I wish them happy birthday and I cram in The Inbetweeners' greatest hits. Call them a bus w****r, invite them down the caravan club, mention 'clunge' and putting the balls in. People love it."

While other people on the website charge well over £100, they haven't had the success that Buckley has, partly because he keeps his price so low.
Speaking about other big-name celebrities, he said: "They will want like $2,000 off you, I'm like £40. When I first started doing it, I was like 'what do I think this is worth?' Even £40, I think that's pushing it a bit. I'll see if I can get away with that. If it's two mates going in £20 each for their mate, just to say happy birthday, it's basically just an expensive birthday card."
If the new instalment of The Inbetweeners is anything like Buckley's cameo videos, then perhaps fans need not worry about the series being too 'woke', and we will hopefully get to hear all the old classics.

And even if it doesn't live up to your expectations, you can always shell out £43 to hear the iconic lines from Buckley yourself, because when it comes to Cameo, he really has completed it mate.
