Nate Diaz elbows and kicks Jake Paul as both get physical in final weigh-in face-off before fight

The pair appear itching to get into the ring ahead of their fight

A boxing weigh-in is certainly an event at which you can expect a certain amount of tension.

Usually, you might expect the pair to stand chest to chest and try to stare each other down. It's all part of the hype as excitement builds ahead of the coming fight.

However, a weigh-in for the upcoming fight between YouTuber Jake Paul and Nate Diaz appears to have been more than the usual Paddington-esque hard stares.

The fight has already seen tension building. At a press conference for the upcoming match, a brawl appeared to break out involving the security of both fighters.

One person was reportedly even receiving stitches in hospital after the tussle. On this occasion, the fighters themselves fortunately did not seem to get involved.

But that was not the case for the final weigh in ahead of the match, as it seems the pair simply can't contain themselves ahead of stepping into the ring together.

A video from he weigh in appears to show Nate Diaz throwing elbows and kicking at rival Jake Paul as the pair posed together on the stage.

As the two athletes squared up an intermediary struggled to keep the pair apart on the stage. Diaz appeared to make a couple of gestures to try and make Paul jump onstage.

In response, Paul could be seen to be gesturing and making faux punching motions with his hands as though he was sparring.

The pair also had some things to say to each other. Diaz said: "Shout out to everybody for the love and support, I appreciate everybody coming out and the love. And no matter how the fight goes let's not forget; this motherf***er can't really fight motherf***er. F*** you!"

Paul responded: "They've been saying Nate's tough", however he was met with boos, which he mocked. He called the booing crowd 'virgins'.

He added: "Nate's tough, Nate's a dog, well guess what? Tomorrow night I'm dog walking that b**** and I'm sending him back to the cage. I'm f***ing him up Ariel, I'm f***ing him up!"
