The actor that will reportedly be next James Bond has a huge age gap with his wife.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is said to have been offered the role of 007, following in the footsteps of long-standing Bond actor Daniel Craig.

The 33-year-old was most recently seen in 2022 film Bullet Train, alongside the likes of Brad Pitt and Joey King.

According to reports from The Sun, he 'has been formally offered the opportunity to play James Bond'.

Taylor-Johnson has not been officially announced in the role as of yet, nor has he officially accepted it, but he is widely expected to fill Craig's shoes after his 15 years in the role.

The expected eighth actor to play the most famous spy of all-time is also known for his roles in Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Godzilla, and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

He met his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson (née Taylor-Wood), 57, on the set of Nowhere Boy back in 2009.

Taylor-Johnson was around 18 at the time while his future wife, who was directing the film, was 42. The couple went on to tie the knot just three years later.

Despite having a 23-year age gap, the two have remained strong over the years, even renewing their vows in 2022 to mark 10 years of marriage.

The Bullet Train star described his other half as his 'soulmate' in a wholesome Instagram post following the ceremony, saying: "Yesterday was the most beautiful day, summer solstice, our 10th anniversary… we renewed our vows to one another and confessed our love in front of our nearest and dearest friends and family it was a celebration of love and joy!

"A decade of marriage. It was a magical unforgettable day and the sun did not stop shining on us both.. we are blessed beyond belief.

"Sammy you are my love, my life, my soulmate, my wife, my world!"

They have two children together, with Sam also having two kids from a previous marriage.

Celebrating the renewal of their vows on Instagram, she wrote at the time: "10 glorious years.

"My incredible husband, father to all 4 girls.

"I love you, I love you, I love you. Love conquers all."

Her husband may be up for the role of Bond, but he also has three big name films that are all set to come out this year.

Taylor-Johnson has roles in The Fall Guy opposite Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, and in gothic horror film Nosferatu alongside Bill Skarsgård and Willem Dafoe, to look out for.

Arguably though, his most anticipated role this year is as Kraven the Hunter in Sony's Spider-Man movie saga.
