Joe Jonas addresses viral video accusing him of 'snorting cocaine' on stage

The singer-songwriter has come out with a bold statement

Joe Jonas has addressed a viral video which accused him of 'snorting cocaine' at a Jonas Brothers gig.

The 36-year-old became the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons while performing in California with his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas.

The trio had been on the road for their tour 'JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour', when a clip appeared on TikTok of the singer repeatedly fidgeting with his nose while backstage, as he continuously wipes it with a towel and picks at it while looking into a mirror, before running back on full of energy to belt out his part of the song.

After its publication, it amassed over 11 million views on the social media platform, with some online accusing the father-of-two of taking drugs, though others were also quick to dismiss the ludicrous claims, saying he was simply 'blowing his nose'.

Now, the Camp Rock star has come out and vehemently denied the rumours in the wake of the viral video, which can be seen below:

In an interview with Esquire, he responded to the speculation, telling the publication: “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life, but if I did, I think I’d be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage.”

According to The Independent, he'd also commented on the original video, which was subsequently deleted, saying: “lol you never had a booger?"

Another memorable moment on their tour was the appearance of Joe's Camp Rock co-star, Demi Lovato, who joined him on stage during the brothers' performance in New Jersey.

They performed two songs from the Disney Channel movie, 'This is Me' and 'Wouldn't Change A Thing'. And Joe revealed that he had reached out to the singer to see if she'd want to do it.

"I wrote Demi Lovato to see if she would be up for it," he told Esquire. "She was. That was really special. It set the tone for us to bring out familiar faces and artists who mean something to us, who matter. We didn’t want to bring out just anyone; we wanted to bring out people who we felt could really speak to our journey."

Lovato herself also spoke about the reunion with Joe, with whom she had a romantic relationship off-screen in March 2010, before they called it quits a few months later.

She told the Chicks in the Office podcast: "It was so nice and it was so healing for me, too. We’ve been through so much together, and it was really, really great to spend time with them."
