John Lennon's legacy looks set to continue after his first grandson has been born nearly 50 years on from his death.
While many are still mourning the death of the legendary musician after he was shot by Mark Chapman in New York, there may well be a new musical talent on the scene after his son Sean Ono Lennon welcomed his first child recently.
Sean, 50, is also a musician and has performed alongside his mother Yoko Ono, but the family band might well be growing after Sean and his long-term partner Charlotte Kemp Muhl announced the birth of their son on 1 September.
However, if the baby wasn't already likely to attract attention due to his famous family, he certainly will from his unusual historic name.

In a post on their social media pages, Sean wrote: “Okay so…Charlotte and I would like to announce that we have indeed created a Human Bean! His name is, Aurelius! Thank you!”

The meaning behind the name Aurelius
Now unless you're a history buff with a love of Ancient Rome, you might not be all that familiar with the name Aurelius, and it seems as if that was the inspiration behind the couple's choice.
Rome had its fair share of controversial emperors with Nero famously fiddling while his city burnt, and Caligula making his favourite horse a consul, but Marcus Aurelius is widely regarded as one of the few good emperors.
He was the last emperor of the Pax Romana, an age of relative peace, calm, and stability for the Roman Empire which lasted from 27 BC to 180 AD.
So, it looks as if little Aurelius has a lot to live up to, although many music fans will perhaps be hoping he lives up to his grandfather's legacy rather than a random bloke from around 2000 years ago.

'I always felt like music was a way of getting closer to him'
Kemp Muhl also shared a peek into their life as a family of three on Instagram, writing in the caption: “We made a human! Am convinced DNA is agentic alien quaternary code.
"The sleep deprivation only adds to the surrealism…Burping technique tips welcome. Been playing him Aphex Twin and Stravinsky. Meconium is crazy.”
For those of you wondering, because I certainly was, meconium is the name given to a baby's first few poops after leaving the womb, and it apparently looks pretty wild.
Fellow musicians Patti Smith, Willow Smith and Dominic Fike congratulated Sean in the comments of his post, with he and Charlotte likely to focus on raising little Aurelius for a while before Sean.
Speaking to The Independent last year, Sean reflected on carrying his parents' legacy, saying his interest in music began with his father: "I always felt like music was a way of getting closer to him."
John's other son Julian, who is Sean's half-brother, doesn't have any children.
If you're wondering why we don't hear much from Yoko Ono these days, Sean has also previously clarified that his 93-year-old mother prefers to stay away from the press, but she will also no doubt be delighted to welcome another grandchild.
