Hollywood actress Kathryn Hahn was asked about her kids' reactions to her iconic role in Step Brothers, and revealed a funny story from one of her teenagers.

The 51-year-old has been in the TV and Film industry for over two decades, and has ventured into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent times with her role as witch Agatha Harkness in both WandaVision and the new series Agatha All Along.

With appearances throughout the 2000s in films such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, few of her roles are more iconic than her portrayal of unhappy wife, Alice Huff.

In the film, Hahn plays the wife of the obnoxious, borderline unbearable character of Derek Huff, portrayed excellently by Adam Scott.

He is the brother of Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell), and constantly humiliates, taunts and makes fun of him, to the point where his new step brother, Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) punches him in the face.

Alice, who hates her husband, then becomes sexually attracted to Dale, even going on an incredibly detailed and explicit explanation of what she wants to do to him when they are stood on the front porch, which later becomes a relationship.

It's one of the most iconic parts of the film, and explains why Hahn's children would hate seeing their mother in a scene like that.

During an interview with Josh Horowitz, he apologises for bringing up the iconic scene and asked her about it, to which she groaned and then told a story about her teenage son.

Apparently, her 17-year-old boy went to a house party, and it one of the rooms, he saw that they were all watching Step Brothers.

"He said 'I just walked out', he just saw it, turned around, and walked out and I was like, 'that's a good call,'" Hahn said.

Horowitz then asked if they also couldn't watch her as Agatha in the MCU, but she was quick to say that, while it may be 'difficult' to separate the character from the Mum in Step Brothers, they do enjoy watching Marvel films together as she can't tell them anything about it while filming.

The actress also recently revealed that Adam Scott's role in another iconic scene, where their family sing Guns N' Roses' iconic rock song Sweet Child O' Mine in the car, was lip synced the whole time.

She revealed that her and the kids' parts were real, but as Scott needed to reach 'boyband' levels, a real pop star did the singing, while the actor mouthed the whole thing.

“His voice had to go to some real, you know, boyband places, and so there an actual boyband singer right outside the car.

“And Adam lip synced,” she revealed.

But she did give credit to Scott for how believable his lip syncing was, as I'm sure we all will too.
