Katie Price says she thought real police visit was a Saturday Night Takeaway prank

Katie Price once mistook a real police visit for an Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Katie Price has revealed that she once mistook a real police visit as a prank for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

The former Page Three model - who has been in the public eye for almost 20 years - certainly has a few random stories up her sleeve.

At the peak of her fame, Price was married to singer Peter Andre and the pair encountered a bizarre moment with police at their home.

As the celeb couple were getting ready to go out for a curry, two non-uniformed police officers knocked on their front door.

Featuring on Friday's (1 September) episode of Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast, the mum-of-five opened up on what went down.

"Peter went, Oh Kate the police are here,' and I said, 'Tell them to come back later we're going for a curry'," she recalled.

"He said, 'They said it's pretty serious, come down.' They weren't in uniform.

"So I said, 'How do I know you're really the police?'

"I phone (her manager) Clare and said we've got police officers here and they reckon they've got something serious to tell us.

"I thought it was Ant and Dec doing a prank on us."

Price was then told it was something a lot more serious.

She continued: "We're in the room and they went, 'Right, our intelligence tell us there is a group...' They showed us some pictures, and I said, 'I don't know them.'

"But apparently they had been meeting up in the supermarket and they were going to create a car accident to get the kids."

Price added: "I kept on saying, “This is a wind-up, where’s Ant and Dec? They said, 'This is serious, we’re not joking'.”

The police told Price that people were planning to kidnap her children.

Earlier on in the interview, Price also admitted that men are her 'destroyer in life' as she tried to find her 'Mr Perfect'.

Price shares her eldest son Harvey, 20, with former Man Utd footballer Dwight Yorke and also has son, Junior, 17, and daughter Princess, 15, with Andre.

Her youngest kids, Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight, are from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.

"This is the trouble, and even with in therapy I've realised, men are my destroyer in life," she said.

"I just want that perfect... I'm such a family girl," Price revealed. "I just want to be married, settled and get on with my career. But if you look at my past... they haven't really... and part of it's my fault, being impulsive and marrying... because I'm searching for that perfect... there's no such thing as perfect."
