Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey has released a video in which he attacked a former co-star Guy Pearce.

Pearce opened up recently in an emotional video in which he admitted he was ‘scared’ of Spacey.

The pair starred together in LA Confidential, with Pearce stating in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that, while he doesn’t consider himself a victim, he believed the actor had ‘targeted’ him.

In response to the news story, Spacey released a video attacking his former co-star. Spacey posted it to X, saying that Pearce ‘could have spoken’ to him in person at the time, but instead chose to go to the press years later.

The disgraced Oscar-winning actor went on to say: “Guy, you need to grow up. You are not a victim.

“Did you also, by the way, tell the press that a year after we shot LA Confidential you flew to Savannah, Georgia - while I was shooting Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil - just to spend time with me?

“Did you tell the press that too? Or does that not fit into the victim narrative you have going?”

Many viewers were unsettled by Spacey's video, with one calling it 'bizarre'.

They sarcastically tweeted: "Okay cool after watching this bizarre and off-putting video i'm fully on your side again mr spacey."

Others felt it was reminiscent of Spacey's House of Cards character Frank Underwood, saying: "So funny that Guy Pearce got Kevin Spacey so mad it kicked Frank Underwood out of his body. Full support for Guy Pearce, all my homies love Guy Pearce."

Actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making a sexual advance against him in 2017 before later suing the actor for sexual assault.

Rapp lost the suit and was ordered to pay damages, however his accusations against the actor led to 15 others coming forward with similar claims against him.

Spacey has denied the claims against him and has not been found guilty, however he admitted in an interview with Piers Morgan to having been ‘too handsy’ in the past and ‘touching someone sexually’ when he ‘didn’t know they didn’t want him to’.

Pearce opened up about his experience with Spacey on set of LA Confidential in an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Award’s Chatter podcast.

He said of his time on the film: “I was sort of scared of Kevin because he’s quite an aggressive man.

“He’s extremely charming and brilliant at what he does – really impressive, et cetera.

“He holds a room remarkably. But I was young and susceptible, and he targeted me, no question.”

Pearce said those that came forward as part of the #MeToo movement inspired him, before adding: “I was in London working on something, and I heard [that Anthony Rapp was suing Spacey] and I broke down and sobbed, and I couldn’t stop.

“I think it really dawned on me the impact that had occurred and how I sort of brushed it off and how I had either shelved it or blocked it out or whatever.”

Though he didn’t want to call himself a ‘victim’, Pearce went on to that ‘even though [he] probably was a victim to a degree.

He added: “I was certainly not a victim by any means to the extent that other people have been to sexual predators.”
