Kristen Bell's husband shares extremely NSFW image of her on social media to congratulate her

Kristen Bell’s husband has shared a rather NSFW image of her on social media.

Yep, to congratulate the star on her Emmy Award nomination, Dax Shepard decided to post a nude of his wife.

Well, kind of anyway, he did blur out her bare bum.

Bell was listed in the 2025 Emmy nominations yesterday (15 July) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as Joanne in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.

The hit show also picked up a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series with her co-star Adam Brody nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

And instead of a snap of her on screen in the show or just a nice couple selfie, Shepard decided an Instagram post of her doing a bit of naked stretching was more appropriate.

The pair are known for being pretty candid online, often sharing funny photos on social media or making digs at one another.

So, the Armchair Expert podcast host’s tribute to his wife does seem rather fitting to be honest, even if it might be a little surprising.

“People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen’s,” he wrote in the caption.

“This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”

And she isn’t totally naked anyway, she is wearing some patterned long blue socks. Plus, Shepard placed a little red square graphic over Bell’s behind to protect her modesty - to some extent.

With one leg in the air, her potential ‘training’ for the gig features the star doing a bit of a downward dog position on the patio of a garden in the sun.

Bell also reposted the snap to her Instagram Stories so it seems to have gone down fine with her and plenty of their celebrity friends joined the joke and congrats in the comments.

“Oh my god, Dax,” wrote Gwyneth Paltrow as Nina Dobrev put: “Hahahaha yesssss go girl! Suns out buns out for that Emmy!!!”

And one fan joked: “She’s not naked people… she CLEARLY has socks on! God forbid a girl have a hobby.”

“Downward facing Emmy nomineeeee!” another wrote as Mae Whitman simply put: “Incredible form.”

Others warned Shepard that the payback ‘is going to be brutal’ as one said they hope ‘the makers of those socks are paying well for this UGC’.
