Influencer Anastasia Karanikolaou, known online as 'Stassie Baby', has revealed why she decided to undergo bum reduction surgery after previously getting a BBL at the age of 18.
Over the past couple of months, the longtime friend of businesswoman and The Kardashians star Kyle Jenner has opened up about the cosmetic changes she underwent at a young age, previously revealing that she felt it necessary to have a big butt, lips and boobs.
Popularised by celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Kim Kardashian in the 2010s, young women who looked to replicate the curvy figures seen on social media would undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
Surgical fat transfer involves injecting fat from the abdomen or thighs into another area of the body. In the case of a BBL, it would be injected into the bottom.

However, a shift in beauty standards has recently seen A-listers seek to undergo more 'natural' body augmentations, with the influencer being the latest to reverse the cosmetic enhancements made to her derrière.

Revealing that she'd undergone the surgery in a post made to her TikTok earlier this week, the 28-year-old explained that she was currently in a recovery centre after having the procedure done.
"I'm at a surgery recovery centre recovering from this a** reduction," she told the camera. "I just got my pain medicine, it just kicked in."
The influencer went on to explain that she is yet to see the final result of the reversal, but believed the 'a** looks nice, lifted, smaller'.

"I'm so excited to be healed and to feel more comfortable in my skin," she continued.
Karanikolaou later addressed backlash, saying that she hadn't removed the BBL to keep up with current beauty trends.
"I would just like to state that the reason why I'm sharing my experience currently is because I wish I had someone that showed me the not glamorised side of plastic surgery when I was younger and I was 18 and I made this decision," she said in a follow-up post.
"I just feel like this was a mistake I made super young, and I shared my experience now because I'm hoping that I can help anyone at the end of the day.

"That's all I care about. Hope I can help someone from making the same mistake that they'll regret. And that you definitely shouldn't change your body to follow a trend."
This isn't the first time Karanikolaou has voiced her regret over having a BBL, with the content creator expressing to Bravo's Coffee Talk podcaster Bri that it had been something she'd found difficult to talk about.
"Obviously I got this done super young," she said.
'It's something that I regret, and I think that's why it's been so hard to talk about for so long."
