Adorable hidden meaning behind A$AP and Rihanna's baby name as pair announce birth of first daughter
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have announced the birth of their first daughter together, and with it her unique name.
The celebrity couple, who were friends for many years before becoming romantically involved in 2020, now have three children together.
After their relationship sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic, they welcomed their first child together, a son named RZA Athelston Mayers, in May 2022.
Over a year later, their second boy, Riot Rose Mayers, was born.

With two boys at the helm, on Wednesday (24 September), Rihanna took to social media to announce that the pair have finally got their girl.
The 'Umbrella' hitmaker, 37, shared a picture holding the little one dressed in a pink onesie and pink lace booties, alongside another image of mini pink boxing gloves.
She revealed that their daughter was born over a week ago on 13 September.
As reported by Teen Vogue, the girl's name, Rocki Irish Mayers, was well thought out and is a tribute to A$AP Rocky's stage name.
The 36-year-old - whose real name is Rakim Mayers - is often referred to as just 'Rocky' in the music industry.
The outlet reports that Rocki is a feminine nod to her father's name, spelt with an i instead of a y.
And the other picture of two mini pink boxing gloves with pink ribbon is supposedly an ode to Rocky Balboa, Sylvester Stallone's famous character that kick-started his acting career.
In a recent interview with Elle published on the same day as the baby announcement, A$AP said he was really hoping for a girl.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he admitted. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
He added: “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
The 'Praise the Lord' singer, however, acknowledged that both his and Rihanna's fans have been hoping for them to announce new albums in between the three pregnancy announcements.
Rihanna’s most recent studio album Anti was released way back in 2016. Whereas Rocky’s latest full-length album Testing came out in 2018.
“You know what we joke about?” Rocky said while smirking.
“She’s like, ‘Yo, I ain’t gonna lie. Your fans might want to kick your a** as much as my fans wanna kick my a**. What saves me is that I’m pregnant most of the time.’”
