Working for a few years and then living off that money for the rest of our lives is something we all dream of but it seems as if those days could soon be over for actress Tiffani Thiessen.
The 52-year-old is of course best known for her role as Kelly Kapowski in Saved By the Bell, where she was undoubtedly many people's crushes back in the 90s.
The sitcom, which ran for four years between 1989 and 1993, is still regularly shown on the TV these days and usually that means good things for the cast when it comes to the residual cheques
Over the years, we've heard about the massive amount of money that can be made from residuals, whether it's the kid from The Lion King or the staggering amount that the Friends cast still take home thanks to the huge success of that show.

And it seems as if Saved by the Bell was no different, although now that we're more than 30 years on from the show's ending, Thiessen has admitted that the money has now 'dried up entirely'.

Speaking on a Sept. 24 appearance on Page Six Radio, she said: "I think it has dried out,' she said. 'It's like, negative now. It costs more to print the cheque."
Unlike the Friends cast however, it seems as if the residuals made from Saved By the Bell weren't enough to live off, as Thiessen also suggested that they were never all that much.
She said: "We didn't have pull on that show at all. We made nothing and we just did our job."
Once the series moved to a primetime slot things improved but for the 52-year-old, a real financial breakthrough only came when she left the franchise behind and landed a role on Beverly Hills, 90210.

This is certainly backed up by co-star Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner for all eight seasons of the show, as she suggested that she recently received a cheque for just one cent. That doesn't even buy you a 1p sweet anymore.
Fortunately, Thiessen has had plenty of work come her way over the past few decades alongside her actor husband Brady Smith, so they're unlikely to be struggling to pay the bills.
However, she has moved away from acting in recent years and now has a very different career, as she works with food and hosts her own cooking channel, with two cook books to her name.
On her kitchen inspiration, she said: "I would always watch my mother and grandmother and aunt, all the women in my family, cooking in the kitchen together. And I just wanted to be with them.
"It was me as a little girl, wanting to hang out with the cool women in my family and doing what they were doing."
