Stephen Graham revealed how a comment from rap icon Snoop Dogg made his evening at the Golden Globes.

The Kirkby-born actor had a night to remember at the awards show on Sunday (11 January), taking home the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

Graham claimed the award for his leading role as Eddie Miller in the Netflix hit show Adolescence, which made headlines for its episodes being shot in a single take.

It was one of the show's four wins on Sunday, also taking home the Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television, while Owen Cooper won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television, and Erin Doherty won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television.

For Graham, who also wrote the British-produced series, it was his first Golden Globe win, and a night he'll never forget for several reasons.

Amid the Netflix limited series' lap of honour, Graham took a moment to share an encounter on the night which genuinely left him chuffed.

It's rare to see a seasoned actor become so star-struck, but when the Brit reflected on his meeting with Snoop Dogg, this is exactly what we saw.

Speaking backstage, the 52-year-old said of the 'Gin & Juice' rapper: “I met Snoop Dogg, I forgot to say it out there, and he shook my hand and looked me right in the eyes and he just said ‘You a motherf***in’ gangsta.’ My life is complete.”

Who wouldn't be over the moon after that encounter?

Snoop himself also made headlines on Sunday night, as he admitted to being 'high as a motherf**ker' while giggling and presenting the inaugural Best Podcast category, which went to Amy Poehler for Good Hang.

Viewers will have noticed during the ceremony that Graham was surprised to be presented with an award at all, appearing genuinely surprised when his name was called as the award winner.

The crowd erupted, with the actor and show creator needing to calm himself before accepting his award and praising his fellow nominees as well as the Adolescence cast and crew who helped to make the show one of the most watched of 2025.

His speech was notable as Graham sent an emotional message to his family which stunned the room into silence.

Turning to his wife while on stage, he stated: "You saved my life."

The actor then turned his attention to his children, adding: "To my two beautiful kids, Grace and Alfie - I love you to the moon and back forever."
