Taylor Swift was slammed for ‘blanking’ Céline Dion last night (4 February).

The ‘Midnights’ singer was awarded the Album of the Year at the Grammys, making her the first person to win the award four times.

Dion made a shock rare appearance to present the award, after her incurable stiff person syndrome diagnosis.

The 55-year-old reportedly no longer has ‘control over her muscles’ as those who suffer from the rare autoimmune neurological disorder can turn into ‘human statues’.

Fans were made up to see the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer presenting the award to Swift, but some claim the winner didn’t even acknowledge Dion.

As the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer’s name was announced, she made her way up to the stage in Los Angeles with her team, including Lana Del Ray.

She excitedly hurried around the stage hugging her collaborators before grabbing the award itself.

And some point out she didn’t even make eye contact with Dion or pay her attention as she celebrated the moment and began her speech.

Users took to X as they slammed: “Taylor Swift completely ignoring Celine Dion like she was some trophy model presenter at #GRAMMYs was wild. She’s won this three times and usually such a pro. But to ignore an icon, who is dealing with so much? Yikes.”

Others put that she ‘didn’t even look her in the face’ and ‘could’ve made eye contact’, while one simply put: “Taylor Swift will never EVER live down ignoring Céline Dion at the Grammys.”

One also said: “People trying to defend Taylor but cmon Celine is a legend. She is recovering and had an aid to help her present this award. Taylor could’ve at least looked at her…especially if you’re grabbing the Grammy from her…”

Others however did suggest that ‘she was probably told not to hug or touch Celine because of her condition’, but fans did say they were ‘disappointed’ in Swift.

However, others pointed out that she looked at Dion before taking the award and that she ‘cheered for Celine when they announced her’.

And to clear up any outrage, the pair of singers posed for a snap together backstage afterwards, smiling for the camera with their arms around each other.

Swift even took the opportunity when receiving the award for best pop vocal album to announce her 11th studio album, Toured Poets Department.

LADbible has contacted Swift’s team for comment.
