Freddie Flintoff was once asked about signing a 'death waiver' before last year's accident on Top Gear.

The TV presenter, 45, was involved in an horror crash at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, last December, when filming for the BBC series.

The ex-cricketer was reportedly hospitalised with broken ribs and facial injuries.

Watch below as he was once asked about a Top Gear 'death waiver':

Last month, Flintoff was spotted out in public for the first time at a cricket game with visible scars and facial injuries.

The former England player has been seen helping out with the preparations for the current team’s journey to the 50-over ICC Cricket World Cup in India.

However, prior to the accident on Top Gear, Flintoff appeared on The Graham Norton Show in October 2020, to speak about his daring antics on the car programme.

The former sportsman opened up about a terrifying bungee jump stunt in an attempt to get a car to go from 0-60mph in two seconds.

"Everyone thinks I am a daredevil, but that is not the case," Flintoff admitted.

"After bungee jumping in a car, they keep upping the ante."

He was also asked by Norton if he signs any sort of waiver before performing a stunt.

"By the way do you sign a piece of paper saying 'if I die don't worry about it'?," asked the host.

Flintoff then explained: "You've got to sign waivers and insurance and things."

While his future as a TV presenter remains unclear, Flintoff has been seen on social media offering a few words of wisdom as he presented England player Tom Hartley with his international cap.

In the clip, shared on X yesterday (4 October), Flintoff paid tribute to the ‘family’ environment around the team.

He said: "It gives me so much pleasure to share what's going to be a day Tom that you're going to remember for the rest of your life.

"When you get this cap, this changes your life. It's one of those things, it's before and after it.

“This enables you to walk tall and move faster. Play with passion, play with pride, play with belief. And also part of a family of people.

"They'll share the good times with you, share the successes. But as I found over the past few months, they'll be there for you in the hardest times of your life.

"They will stand next to you. So, like the lion on the cap Tom, be brave, be, fearless, be proud and enjoy every minute."
