People confused after Will Smith pinned Jada’s comment on his brutal response video
People have been left baffled after Will Smith pinned a comment from his wife Jada Pinkett Smith on a post he made in which he seemed to be joking about their relationship status.
So, if you aren’t up to speed, basically Jada revealed on the press tour for her new book Worthy that she and her husband have effectively been separated since 2016 and haven’t even lived together for a few years.
This makes it even more strange that Will would get up and slap Chris Rock at the Oscars back in 2022, but that’s another story for another day.

Anyway, in response to the news coming out about him and Jada, Will posted a short video of himself taking a lovely boat ride, and even having a quick nap.
“Notifications off,” he captioned it.
It’s pretty clear to see what he means by that.
Now, Jada has posted a comment underneath with two laughing faces, clearly taking the whole thing for an obvious joke – which it is – and making light of the situation.
After all, just because they might not be romantically involved any more, they’re probably still pals, right?
Well, Will reacted to that comment with a heart and has since pinned it to the post, making it visible for all to see.
That has people slightly confused, to say the least.
“Will Smith posted a Reel 13 hours ago,” one person wrote.
“Jada commented.
“Will pinned the comment.
“Hmmnnnn. He seems unbothered I guess.”
Unbothered is right.
Another person said: “Jada Pinkett-Smith commented on Will Smith’s new Instagram reel and he pinned and hearted it.
“U [sic] are foolish to believe that they’re not scheming together!!!”
Jada has really been piling on the revelations during her book tour, claiming that Chris Rock asked her out when he thought her and Will were breaking up, on top of the tales about her marriage.
On their breakup, she said: "By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying.
"I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."
Despite the pair having – for all intents and purposes – split up, Jada also said she hasn’t been able to go through with a divorce as she doesn’t want to break a promise she made.
She explained: "I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce.
“We will work through whatever,
“I just haven’t been able to break that promise."
Addressing what happened with Rock, she told People: “I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce.
“And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce.
“So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I'd love to take you out.’
“And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’
"He was like, ‘Well, aren't you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumours.’
“He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.”
Well, it was until he got slapped on stage at the Oscars, anyway.
