Kelly Osbourne slams ‘disrespectful’ WWE star who made 'cheap' Ozzy joke in front of stunned fans

The WWE fighter may have gone too far with her villainous remarks

Kelly Osbourne has slammed a WWE star for being ‘disrespectful’ with a joke about her late dad.

Ozzy died last month, and hundreds of fans lined the streets in Birmingham for his public procession and private family funeral.

A statement said he was ‘with his family and surrounded by love’ when he passed away, as his children, fans, and rockers around the world paid tribute.

But they weren’t quite the same kind of remark that WWE wrestler Becky Lynch made on WWE RAW last night (25 August).

The live wrestling place was taking place at the BP Pulse Live venue in Ozzy’s beloved home city, Birmingham. And it’s fair to say Lynch didn’t just offend Kelly with her below-the-belt comment, but much of the crowd too.

As her fellow wrestler Nikki Bella goaded Becky into the ring to fight her, the Irish pro said: “I’m not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago.

“But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”

Yeah, dark. Becky’s whole persona in the WWE is to be a bit of a ‘heel’, so she’s meant to be a bit of a villain and wind up the crowd with offensive bits.

But it seems this time she might have gone a bit too far, as fans in the crowd gasped at her reference to Ozzy’s still fairly recent death.

And Kelly took to Instagram stories earlier today to make it known she was not happy about it.

“@beckylynch.fan11 you are a disrespectful dirtbag! Birmingham would not p*ss on you if you were on fire,” she wrote.

"#Birminghamforever shame on the @wwe for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!”

Reacting to a clip of the moment on X, users said Becky’s comment was ‘cheap’ and ‘completely classless’.

“Nah, this ain’t it,” one wrote.

“Scummy, scummy WWE & scummy, scummy Becky. How f**king dare they use the death of an icon, in the City he LOVED & CHOSE to spend his last moments in, as a punchline when he's only been dead 5 weeks tomorrow & his family & City are still mourning. F**k them all!” a second added.

As a third said Becky opened ‘a can of worms saying that’.
