Charlie Sheen Now Supports Daughter Joining OnlyFans Despite Previous Concerns

Sheen initially said he didn't 'condone' his daughter's decision

Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen has said he now supports his daughter's decision to join OnlyFans after previously expressing concern over the move.

Sheen has said he acted with 'haste' when he first responded to the news that his 18-year-old daughter Sami Sheen was launching an account on OnlyFans, allowing users to pay in exchange for her content.

He initially said he did 'not condone' the decision, but made a U-turn after hearing the response of his ex-wife Denise Richards.

In a post on Instagram, Richards said she wished she had the confidence that Sami has, stressing she 'can't be judgemental of her choices' and that 'her father shouldn't be either'.

Sheen consequently told Us Weekly Richards had 'illuminated a variety of salient points' that he 'overlooked and dismissed' in his haste to respond to the news.

In a statement issued via his publicist Jeff Ballard, Sheen continued: “Now more than ever, it’s essential that Sami have a united parental front to rely upon, as she embarks on this new adventure.

"From this moment forward, she’ll have it abundantly.”

The actor initially told the publication he would be 'unable to prevent' Sami's decision to launch an account, and therefore 'urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity'.

However, Richards argued in her post that launching the account was not too dissimilar to sharing an image on Instagram, writing: "Is there really a difference posting a picture of ourself in a bikini on [Instagram]? We've all done it. Because you get paid on OnlyFans?

"I'm pretty sure [Instagram] and Twitter and Facebook do quite well off of all of us. Is it so bad to control it and monetise it too?"

Richards also pointed out that she herself had taken part in Wild Things and Playboy, and after Sheen said Sami's decision to start an OnlyFans page didn't 'occur under [his] roof', Richards told Us Weekly the decision 'wasn't based on whose house she lives in'.

She continued: "Sami is 18... All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgment, but she makes her own choices.”

Sami announced her decision to join OnlyFans on her Instagram Story earlier this month, where she also told her followers of her desires to 'be a director [and] write a screenplay'.

When asked whether her parents knew she worked on OnlyFans, Sami described her mum as being 'extremely supportive'.
