A man with the same name as the CEO 'caught' with a woman at a recent Coldplay gig has spoken out after people keep thinking it's him.

So the Andy Byron everyone is talking about is the CEO of a data‑orchestration firm called Astronomer. He went viral earlier this week after allegedly being filmed with his arms wrapped around Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, at Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres concert at Gillette Stadium near Boston.

If you're yet to see the video, basically the band's kiss-cam showed Byron hugging Cabot from behind, and as soon as they realised they were being filmed, the tech mogul from New York unexpectedly ducked his head and knelt, while his colleague covered her face.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin then joked: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”

Byron happens to be married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and Cabot is reportedly divorced.

In the aftermath, speculation exploded as some outlets reported that Byron issued a public apology to his wife and team.

However, Astronomer later confirmed the widely circulated statement was fake.

The fake statement read: "I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused.

"I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”

Astronomer’s Taylor Jones said that the message was shared by a parody account, telling Men’s Journal: “This is not a real statement.”

And now, a man with the same name as the CEO has been forced to clarify that the man in the viral clip, shared by Grace Springer, is not him.

Man with same name as Andy Byron speaks out

Over on LinkedIn, a man named Andy Byron has made it very clear that he isn't the guy from the Coldplay gig.

According to his profile, the graphic designer is the founder of Stylo Motion Design and is based in Greater Dublin.

"No, this isn't me. I wouldn't be caught dead at a Coldplay concert...," he wrote in a post shared on Thursday (17 July).

"I'm the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them.

"If you want to make video content that goes viral for the right reasons, let's connect."

In the comments section, he added: "My wife is going to be so happy when I tell her that I won LinkedIn for a day."
