Fans of Clarkson's Farm had to work to get the release date for the upcoming second season in a cryptic Instagram post.

The Amazon Prime series shared an Instagram post with ‘fun facts’ about the show.

In order to solve the mystery, fans had to swipe through the post for clues and post their result in the comments.

“Jeremy lost 10 acres of crops during his first year of farming,” the first fact reads.

The second teaser states: “Kaleb gets his hair cut in February.” And the third and final clue teases: “It can take 2023 hours for a potato to grow.”

While the fourth said: “Charlie’s favourite season is spring.”

The fifth and final slide revealed that "Jeremy had two painful sheep encounters in season one.”

The fans who worked out the release date - 10 February 2023 - tagged their friends to celebrate the show’s imminent return.

“I could cry at this news,” one excited Instagram user replied as another said: "Finally!"

Some fans who figured out the date even shared a few jokes about what the clues could mean.

"Soooo, what you're saying is @richardhammond is gonna make a special appearance? Did I get that right??? (Just don't let him drive the Lambo!)” one person wrote.

While the show has won its fair share of fans thanks to its funny moments and mishaps, it's also helped shine a light on how difficult life in the farming industry can be.

The former Top Gear host even shared how he nearly lost a leg in an accident on the farm.

The 62-year-old bought Diddly Squat Farm back in 2008 and when he decided to try his hand at farming after the man running it died, Clarkson’s Farm was born.

The show premiered in June 2021 and the third series was confirmed in October.

Series two, which we now know is coming out next year, started filming a year ago.

Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper will be back on our screens very soon.

Kaleb Cooper, one of the stars from the series, took to Instagram at the time to confirm the good news: “Filming is well underway. Enjoying every minute of it as well!”

The show received rave reviews from viewers who found themselves glued to the first series and judging by the Instagram comments under the date announcement post, they’ll be back for more next year.

A statement from Amazon about the second series promises "laughs, triumphs and tribulations, and of course more farming faux pas, as we follow Jeremy & co on their agricultural adventure."

Clarkson’s Farm series two will air 10 February 2023 on Amazon Prime.
