Diplo Performs Surprise Popup Set From His Car In Shoreditch

The DJ earned a huge amount of hype from onlookers.

Diplo performed a surprise popup set from his car in Shoreditch, London to a crowd of lucky fans. 

The LA-based DJ took to Shoreditch High Street to perform the surprise show on Monday 8th March at 6pm, with Diplo taking to Twitter just two hours before his scheduled performance to notify fans of the gig.

The set, which was broadcast on TikTok Live, saw the EDM star performing songs from his new self-titled album Diplo and earning a huge amount of hype from onlookers.

Fans of the Electricity hitmaker took to TikTok and Twitter to share their Monday evening antics at the gig, with Sash tweeting: “When @diplo tells you to be at a random tunnel in Shoreditch in 2 hours, YOU SHOW UP [sic]”.

Another person who stumbled across Diplo’s set wrote: “I walked under a bridge in shoreditch last night and there were loads of people gathered around, turns out it was DIPLO doin a street rave HAHAHAH. London is mad [sic]”.

Rachel added: “Was omw to the cinema last night and stumbled into a rave crowd which turned out to be @diplo playing a set underneath the tube station bridge in Shoreditch - I love London [sic]”.


“Why the f*** is diplo playing a set outside shoreditch high street? Very rogue Monday occurrence,” a different viewer penned.

A different bystander echoed: “just saw diplo doing a set outside shoreditch high street wtf [sic]”.

“Cheeky little @diplo rave by shoreditch high st. Very cheeky. Like it,” Generally Ed also tweeted.
