Following the news that Dolly Parton has recently released her first novel Run Rose Run and has added to her already impressive string of accolades, fans of the American singer-songwriter want to find out all that she has achieved in her career so far.
The 76-year-old wrote the novel alongside bell-seller James Patterson who is perhaps best known for the Alex Cross and Private series, while she draws on her own experiences being in the music industry.
So, what does Dolly Parton’s net worth stand at currently?
As of 2022, Dolly Parton has an estimated net worth of $600 million (£459 million), according to Wealthy Gorilla.
Although Parton had already achieved success in writing songs for others in the country music scene, she made her debut as a singer in 1967 with her album Hello, I’m Dolly.
She has since launched her own record label, Dolly Records, seen 25 of her songs reach number one on the Billboard country music charts and collected 11 Grammy Awards, and ten Country Music Association Awards, including being just one of seven female artists to win CMA’s Entertainer of the Year Award alongside the likes of Taylor Swift and the Dixie Chicks.
Parton also co-owns The Dollywood Company, which manages entertainment and theme park venues like the infamous Dollywood and Splash Country water park.
The singer has also donated a portion of her wealth to various causes, including $1 million to Vanderbilt University which helped developed the covid vaccine Moderna.
The star also pledged to pay university tuition fees of all Dollywood employees who wish to continue their education, as well as healthcare access, free lunches on shift and childcare fees to those employees.
